We are niche travel company specializing in bachelors travels for young people mainly from UK and Ireland. Our customers enjoy the local night life and are focusing on fun and entertainment. We plan to start our operation in Bucharest in January 2008 and we plan to have 20 small tour groups in the first year.

Destination Manager

Job description
We would like to employ a person to deal primarily with the coordination of groups during their stay in Bucharest, as well as preparation for arrival of these groups. You will be responsible for arranging tour guides, airport transfers, activities and accommodation and also collect payments from group members.
Duties will include liaising with hotels, transfer and activities suppliers and negotiating competitive rates and conditions with suppliers.
You will be receiving ad hoc special requests from our reservation department and will be responsible for timely preparing quotations for the requests. You are expected to come up with new product and service ideas.
You will be responsible for supplying quality service to our groups through appropriately recruited, trained and placed tour guides.
You will have budgetary responsibility for operation costs, that mainly includes accommodation, salaries, transfers and activities costs.
The expected working time is 10-20 hours per week and the hours often include weekend service.

Skills required:
The ideal candidate speaks fluent English (besides to native Romanian), has a good knowledge of Bucharest, its attractions and nightlife, has the ability to work both individually and as part of a team, has excellent communication and administration skills, is computer literate and detail oriented.
Previous experience in travel or hospitality is an advantage.
